That idea did not start as a brand strategy. It started in a kitchen, a long time ago, watching my mother cook the same birthday dinner from memory every year, and later, standing on a terrace in Positano realizing that a dish can be about more than what is on the plate. The meals that stayed with me were never just ingredients. They were technique, intention, and the story behind them.
Recipe Remodeler is where all of that comes together.
How Recipe Remodeler Works
Every recipe here goes through the same process before it ever reaches you:
- Technique first. We ask why a dish works the way it does, then test what happens when we push it further — browning the butter, adjusting the method, building more flavor without more effort.
- Real storytelling. Food does not exist without context. Every post carries the memory, the mistake, or the person behind it, so a recipe feels lived‑in, not just written.
- Tested in a real kitchen. Nothing goes live until it is cooked, revised, and eaten by real people — including the versions that did not work the first time.

Why Now
My wife Brenda and I recently stepped into retirement, and cooking has moved to the center of this new chapter. After a 30‑plus‑year engineering career, Recipe Remodeler became the place to put that same instinct for testing, refining, and rebuilding to work in the kitchen instead.
Brenda is in nearly everything here — she is my most honest critic and my most enthusiastic taste‑tester. Dolly, our Maltese, usually supervises.
