A New Chapter — and a Big Announcement

For years, I’ve carried a quiet dream of building Recipe Remodeler into a place where home cooks feel confident, curious, and connected. A place where food isn’t just technique, but memory — the kind that stays with you long after the meal is over.

One of those memories is the dish I chose as my signature for the 2026 Favorite Chef competition: butternut squash ravioli. As a kid, I would “help” my mom make ravioli for the holidays — which mostly meant being underfoot while she filled trays that covered every surface of the house. Since her passing, cooking dishes like this has become a way to stay connected to her. This version of the dish is my way of honoring those memories while adding my own special touch.

This week, I was selected to compete in the 2026 Favorite Chef competition, and I’m incredibly excited — not for a trophy, but for the chance to grow a community built on warmth, curiosity, and the belief that food connects us to the people and moments that matter most.
